    Shihan is a new Grandpa

Just got back from a month in Hawaii where my daughter, Larysa, gave birth to Peyton Kai Koz Lopez.

Everyone is doing great and I wish I could honestly say I'm glad to be back in this climate.

Larysa's husband, Jr. is deployed in Afghanistan, but will be back in March.

Congratulations Grandpa Sensei! Cuising the Web and saw your post. My son was with the 65th Eng BN. Most of the group was deployed about that time, but because his 34th Sapper Company were Combat Engineers (MOS 12B), and there was officially no "Combat" operations ongoing, he stayed at Schofield in Hawaii (Darn the luck!). He's now attached to the 25th Infantry 3rd BN in Hawaii. He just re-enlisted on 9/11. Supposed to stay another year in HI and then deploy back to Ft Leonard Wood in MO for more Sapper training.

Glad to see you're all well and still at'em.
